Check out Victoria Mboko’s 2026 Grand Slam odds at Housebets as she prepares for the French Open.
Victoria Mboko’s rise over the last 18 months has been nothing but sensational. The Canadian youngster was not even ranked in the top 100 at this time last year, but she is now World No. 9 following her incredible performances over the last 10 months.
However, this Congolese-Canadian sensation is not thinking about resting on her laurels, as she has the target of winning her first grand slam at the French Open, which you can place bets on at Housebets.

Mboko will be seeking to win her first Grand Slam title this year. In this piece, we will take a look at her chances, starting with the French Open.
Mboko’s rise in women’s tennis has been nothing short of spectacular. About 18 months ago, she was not even in the conversation because she was ranked 350th in the WTA rankings.
However, her story changed 15 months ago when she won the Montreal Open as an unranked player.
Mboko’s win was not just a fluke win like that of Emma Raducanu at the 2021 US Open. She had to beat some heavyweights en route to the title.
The 18-year-old knocked out Coco Gauff (2023 U.S. Open and 2025 French Open champion), Sofia Kenin (2020 Australian Open victor) and Elena Rybakina (2022 Wimbledon queen) before beating four-time major champion Naomi Osaka in the final.
That win in Montreal launched the start of what will likely be a promising career. Now ranked ninth in the WTA rankings, the Canadian teenage sensation will be looking to win her second 1000 event in Miami.
Since winning in Montreal last year, Mboko has been on the rise, winning the WTA Newcomer of the Year award in December.
The 18-year-old has had an impressive start to the year, reaching the final at the Adelaide International, where she lost to her fellow 18-year-old Mirra Andreeva.
She backed up that performance with a fourth-round exit at the Australian Open, losing in straight sets to Sabalenka.
Following her impressive performance at Down Under, Mboko reached the final at the Qatar Open (her second final in a 1000 event), but she lost in straight sets to Karolina Muchová.
The 18-year-old then skipped Dubai before losing to Sabalenka again in the quarter-final of Indian Wells. She moved on from Indian Wells to play in Miami, where she lost to Muchova in the quarter-final.
Following the hardcourt swing, Mboko started her clay season in Madrid, but she lost to Caty McNally in the round of 64. She will get another chance to test her clay court credentials when she plays Tyra Caterina Grant at the Rome Masters.
Rome Masters will serve as the final build-up for her ahead of the French Open, where Mboko will try to win her first Grand Slam title.
Eighteen months ago, it would have been crazy even to ask this question. However, considering what Mboko has achieved in the last 12 months, it is only right to ask the question.
Mboko has been consistent since she won the Montreal Open last year, but one area where she needs to improve is her matchups against the big players.
Although it might look like we are pushing her too hard, the truth is that if she wants to take the next step, she needs to start winning games against the top players.
Currently ranked 9th in the world, Mboko will have to beat players ranked ahead of her if she wants to win her first Grand Slam title.
She already lost to Sabalenka at the Australian Open this year, but she will get three more chances this year, starting with the French Open.
The French Open will be a difficult challenge, though, as Mboko does not have enough clay court experience. She lost in the round of 64 of the Madrid Open this year and also lost at the same stage of the Rome Masters last year.
However, she did reach the third round of the French Open last year, losing in straight sets to Qinwen Zheng. The Canadian youngster will be hoping to do better than the third round this year, but she is priced at a whopping 40.00 to go all the way.
If Mboko fails to win the French Open as expected, she will get another chance to win her first Grand Slam title at Wimbledon.
She made her main draw debut last year, losing to Hailey Baptiste in the second round. Still, despite the potential to go on a strong run, Mboko is not one of the favourites for this year’s Championship.
World No. 1, Aryna Sabalenka, and four-time Roland Garros champion, Iga Swiatek, are currently the joint favourites at 3.70, ahead of Elena Rybakina, who is priced at 7.00.
With Wimbledon unlikely, the US Open will represent Mboko’s last chance to win a Grand Slam this year. Her chance of winning the title at Flushing Meadows is high, considering the hard court suits her game.
However, despite her high chance at the US Open, Sabalenka remains the favourite to win at 3.00, ahead of Swiatek, who is valued at 6.00.
