Follow our guide to betting on the 2026 Formula 1 season at Housebets.com, starting with the Australian Grand Prix.
Three months after Lando Norris won his first championship, we are set for another thrilling season of Formula 1 racing.
The 2026 season kicks off next month, with the first race of the season set for March 16 in Australia. This season’s championship promises to be the most exciting season yet, so expect a lot of twists and turns (no pun intended).

With just one month left before the first lights out of the year, we will preview this year’s championship and how you can place your bet on all the races at Housebets.
Housebets is the home of motorsport betting, including Formula 1. You can take advantage of our boosted odds and place your bets on your favourite driver, constructor, and all the races, including qualifying.
All you need to do is log in to your account or create one if you don't already have one, deposit your preferred cryptocurrency, go to the sports section and select Formula 1 to bet on the races.
Having said that, let’s take you through a guide on what to expect this Formula 1 season.
The 2026 Formula 1 season will start on March 16 and will run till December 6, 2026. There will be a total of 24 races, with the first one scheduled for Australia and the last one scheduled for Abu Dhabi.
These races will take place across 21 countries and 5 continents, with the exception of Africa and Antarctica. The United States will host the largest number of races (3), with all races taking place at different venues (Miami, Texas, and Las Vegas).
When will the 2026 Formula 1 season start?
As stated, the 2026 Formula 1 season will get underway on the weekend of March 14-16 in Australia. However, pre-season testing took place in February at the Bahrain International Circuit.
There are a couple of changes and updates made by the FIA ahead of the start of the new championship season.
Car Size and Aerodynamics
This season will see cars take a new shape, as they will be shorter, narrower, lighter, and nimbler. While the cars will still have 18-inch Pirelli tyres, they will be narrower, thereby reducing the car’s weight.
However, the most significant change is the introduction of Active Aero. The cars can adjust the angle of both their front and rear wing elements depending on where they are on the track.
Power Units
New power unit regulations will also be introduced this season. From this year, we have an even power split between petrol and electric because the internal combustion engine output has been cut, while the electric motor has tripled.
DRS
There will be no DRS this season due to the introduction of Active Aero. The rear wing flaps can be opened on every designated straight without the need to be within one second of the car in front.
New Circuit
Spain will host two races this year, but one of the races (the Spanish Grand Prix) will now take place in a newly built circuit in Madrid. The other race (the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix) will take place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Montmeló.

Lando Norris
Ever since he got into Formula 1, Norris has always been the chaser. However, this year, he will be the one being chased after winning last year’s championship.
The McLaren driver beat Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri to win his first Formula 1 title, so all eyes will be on him this season.
Can he do it again? Yes, he will be confident in his chances, although he is the third favourite to win the title, according to the odds.
Max Verstappen
Four-time world champion Max Verstappen is back again this new year, as he seeks a fifth world title. The Dutch driver narrowly missed out on the title on the final day of last year but will use that disappointment to fuel his ambition this year. The Red Bull driver is definitely one of the favourites for this year’s championship, so keep an eye on him.
George Russell
This could be George Russell’s year if he and Mercedes align properly. The Briton is the favourite for this year’s title according to the odds, but he will need to improve massively on last year’s performance, which saw him finish third.
Lewis Hamilton

Time is running out for Hamilton to break Michael Schumacher’s haul of seven F1 titles, but he will go for it again this year.
The legendary driver finished sixth in the rankings last year in his first year with Ferrari but will be looking to finish at the top this season.
However, Hamilton faces a huge challenge, as he is not one of the favourites for this year’s Championship.
Who are the constructors in the 2026 Formula 1 season?
There is only one new addition to the constructors' team this season, and that is Cadillac. They are the first new team on the grid since Haas in 2016 and will use Ferrari’s power units.
Who will win the 2026 Formula 1 Drivers’ Championship?
It is hard to say right now because teams are still making adjustments to their cars. However, Russell is the favourite to win, with the Briton priced at 2.80 to win his first title.
Verstappen is second at 3.20, ahead of the defending Norris, who is priced at 6.00. Norris’ McLaren teammate, Piastri, is up next at 9.00, while you can back Hamilton at a distant 17.00 to win an eighth world title.
Who will win the 2026 Formula 1 Constructors Championship?
Mercedes is expected to have one of the best cars on the grid this season, which explains why the team is priced at 2.00 to win the Constructors’ title.
Meanwhile, last year’s winner, McLaren, is priced at 2.70, ahead of Ferrari (7.00) and Red Bull (9.00).
How can I bet on the 2026 Formula 1 season at Housebets?
To bet on the 2026 Formula 1 season, log in to your Housebets account or create an account if you do not have one, deposit your preferred cryptocurrency to fund your bets and go to the sports section.
Afterwards, select Formula 1 from the list of sports available and place your bets on any of the markets.
Race Winner: This is a simple bet, as you are betting on which driver will win a specific race. E.g., you can bet on Max Verstappen to win the upcoming Australian Grand Prix.
Podium Finish: If you do not have confidence in your favourite driver winning the race, you can bet on him to secure a podium finish.
In this bet, you bet on whether a driver will finish in the top three positions. For example, you can bet on Lando Norris to finish in the top three at the Australian Grand Prix.
Outrights: Here, you are betting on what you expect will happen in the future. For example, you can place a bet on Hamilton to win this year’s drivers’ championship and Red Bull to win the constructors’ championship.
Pole Position: You can also bet on the pre-race action by betting on which driver will secure the fastest time in qualifying and start the race from the first position.
Fastest Lap: This is similar to prop betting in football. This type of bet allows you to bet on which driver will record the fastest lap time during the race.
Driver vs Driver: Another type of Formula 1 bet that does not have to do with the outcome of the race.
This is like a head-to-head bet in which you bet on which of two specified drivers will finish ahead of the other. For example, you can bet on Norris to finish ahead of Verstappen at the Australian Grand Prix.
If you are depositing cryptocurrency, all you need to do is follow these simple steps.
