Check out our guide on March Madness and how you can place your bets on these games at Housebets.com.
Every March, we get to witness two significant events: one is Lent, and the other is what is known as March Madness.
This March is no different: Lent is underway, and March Madness is just about two weeks away.
But while the competition is about two weeks away, the excitement is already at an all-time high because of what the competition means.

March Madness is not just a basketball tournament; it is an event, arguably the biggest sporting event in March in the USA.
This is how big March Madness is this month, and you can join the action by placing your bets on all the games at Housebets.
Housebets is the home of basketball, including the NBA, WNBA, EuroLeague, and college basketball (NCAA), which is what March Madness is all about.
To place bets on all March Madness games this month, log in to your Housebets account or create one if you don't already have one, deposit your preferred cryptocurrency, and go to the basketball section in sports to place your bets.
If you are not sure about the bets to place when the games begin, we will show you in this piece. However, before we start, let us know what March Madness is all about.
March Madness is an NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament known for its single-game, single-elimination format. It features exclusively college basketball teams, and it is arguably the biggest sporting event in America in March.
This tournament features 68 teams competing in seven rounds for the national championship, with the semifinals known as the Final Four.
The 68 teams are put into different brackets, which are actually revealed by the NCAA committee on Selection Sunday – the Sunday before the games begin.
Teams are selected through different methods. The 31 Division 1 Conferences are all given an automatic invitation, which is awarded to the teams that win each conference.
The other route to get in is in the hands of the selection committee, which decides which 37 teams that are not automatic qualifiers have the pedigree to earn an invitation to the tournament after the regular season has been conducted.
Although the selection committee has no formula when deciding these teams, they take into account a multitude of stats and rankings.
Once the teams have been selected, each team is assigned a seed and placed in one of four regions, which determines their first-round matchups and their path to the championship.
However, four of the 68 teams are eliminated in the opening round of the tournament, which is known as the 'First Four'.
Once those four teams have been eliminated, the remaining 64 teams are split into four regions of 16 teams each, with each team being ranked 1 through 16. That ranking is the team’s seed.
However, teams that had a good record during the regular season are rewarded with easy draws in their region. For example, the number one seed in the southern region will get to play the number 16 seed in the same region.
There are still a few days left in the regular season, so the teams will not be selected until Selection Sunday. However, expect some of the teams below to be present.
Yes, you can place your bets on March Madness games at Housebets. Although the markets are not available yet because the teams have not been selected, you can place bets on the regular-season games right now.
Moneyline: In this market, you are betting on the winner of the game. For example, you can bet on UConn to beat Arizona should they face each other. There are no draws in basketball, so there is only one outcome when you bet on the moneyline.
Over/Under: Also known as the total market, in this market, you can bet on the number of points scored in a game or on a team's total.
For example, you can bet on the Indiana Hoosiers and the Minnesota Golden Gophers to score over 137.5 points in their game. This means you are betting on at least 138 points to be scored in the game.
Prop Bets – For prop bets, you are betting on individuals rather than the outcome of the match. For example, you can bet on Cameron Boozer to score over 20.5 points in Duke’s first game in March Madness.
Handicap Betting: Handicap betting is a situation in which one team is given a points advantage because the team is playing a far superior opponent expected to win.
Outrights: Here, you are betting on what you think will happen in this year’s March Madness competition.
For example, you can back the Duke Blue Devils at 4.40 to win this year’s championship and dethrone the Florida Gators, who are priced at 9.00 to retain their title.
