With that said, let’s get straight into our picks of the week.

Our Pick: Man City to win or over 2.5 goals
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City now have their title fate in their hands as they welcome Newcastle to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday night.
As of a few weeks ago, the Cityzens were in a difficult position in the title race. However, Arsenal’s failure to win against Brentford and Wolves has put Guardiola’s men back in a strong position to win the league.
They do need to beat Newcastle this Saturday to keep it that way, as a win would put them two points behind the Gunners, who play on Sunday.
The Cityzens have no reason to doubt themselves on Saturday night, as they recently beat the Magpies in both legs of their EFL Cup semifinal clash.
In addition, they have been almost perfect at home in the league this season, losing just once in 13 games at home.
Man City have also not lost a league game at home to the Magpies since the 2000/2001 season and have won seven out of the last 10 matches between the two sides in all competitions.
As for Newcastle, they come into the game on the back of a 6-1 thrashing of Qarabağ away from home in the first leg of their Champions League playoff clash.
It was their third big win away from home in the last two weeks, having beaten Tottenham Hotspur in the league and Aston Villa in the FA Cup.
However, before then, Newcastle’s season was spiralling out of control. The good news for Eddie Howe’s men, though, is that they come into this clash in fine form.
But the bad news for them is that they have lost their last 16 league games at the Etihad without scoring, and it does not look like it will end on Saturday.
The Magpies are priced at 5.80 to win the tie, but we fancy City at 1.50 or over 2.5 goals at 1.41.
Our Pick: Chelsea Over 1.5 goals
The last time Chelsea played a Premier League game, they were held to a 2-2 draw at home by Leeds United.
That result dealt a huge blow to their top-four quest, but they will be looking to rectify it when they host Burnley on Saturday afternoon.
This is a must-win clash for Liam Rosenior’s men, as they need to win as many games as possible to finish in the top four, especially with Manchester United and Liverpool in the mix.
The Blues come into this game on the back of a 4-0 win over Hull City in the FA Cup and are fully rested after Rosenior gave his players a four-day break.
Ideally, Chelsea should have no problem on Saturday, as they are unbeaten in their last 12 games against the Clarets.
They have also lost just one of their last 19 league games against Burnley (W13, D5), with the lone loss during this period coming on the opening day of the 2017/2018 season.
Burnley will go into this game looking to play for nothing but pride. It will take a miracle for Scott Parker’s men to avoid relegation, as they sit in 19th place, six points from safety.
The Clarets also suffered an embarrassing FA Cup exit last weekend at the hands of Mansfield but did win on their last trip to London, beating Crystal Palace (3-2).
Nonetheless, despite the win against the Eagles, we are predicting nothing but an emphatic win for Chelsea.
The Blues are favourites at 1.22 to get a routine win, but we are backing them to score at least two goals, which is priced at 1.27.
Our Pick: Bayer Leverkusen win or draw
Coming into the new year, Union Berlin must have had the dream of qualifying for Europe, at least.
However, seven games into the year, the Iron Ones are yet to win a league game (D4, L3) and are now 14 points behind Leverkusen in sixth place.
Right now, the European dream is over for Steffen Baumgart’s men, but they need to start winning to avoid being drawn into a relegation battle.
They face Leverkusen this weekend, a side they have not beaten since the 2020/2021 campaign.
In addition, they also lost to Hamburg 3-2 in their last league match ahead of facing a Leverkusen side in fine form.
Kasper Hjulmand’s men come into this match, having won six of their last seven games in all competitions, including a 2-0 win over Olympiacos on Wednesday.
Leverkusen beat St. Pauli last weekend and are only three points off the final Champions League spot.
They will definitely fancy their chances against a side yet to win a league game this year, but games like this are tricky, which is why we are backing them at 1.36 to either win or draw
Our Pick: Athletic Bilbao to win either half
Athletic Bilbao have not had the season they would have wanted, with the side from San Mames having a poor campaign.
Ernesto Valverde’s men are out of the Champions League and are also likely to miss next year’s competitions, as they sit 14 points behind Atletico Madrid in fourth place.
But despite their poor season, they have picked up recently, winning 2-1 at Real Oviedo last time out.
The Lions will now hope to build on that win against Elche at San Mames on Friday night. They will feel confident in their chances, as they have been decent at home this season, winning 20 points from a possible 36.
They also face an Elche side yet to win a league game on the road this season. Eder Sarabia’s men have collected just four points out of a possible 33 on the road this season.
Elche come into this game with no wins in their last five games in all competitions, and have also lost their last two games against Bilbao.
Their games have been competitive this season, though, which is why we are going for the safe option of Bilbao to at least win either half at 1.35

Our Pick: Over 2.5 goals
Bayern Munich will be looking to extend their six-point lead at the top of the table when they take on Eintracht Frankfurt at the Allianz Arena.
Vincent Kompany’s men have been near perfect all season, but a shocking loss to Augsburg at home and a 2-2 draw against Hamburg have allowed Borussia Dortmund to get back in the title race.
Although they beat Werder Bremen last week, the Bavarian giants will need to continue in the same vein against Frankfurt ahead of next week’s clash against Dortmund.
While that win against Bremen was their fourth in five in all competitions, it was also their first clean sheet since December.
This will give Frankfurt a little bit of confidence going into this game. Frankfurt have enjoyed a new lease of life under Albert Riera, though he has only been in charge for two games.
He started his campaign with a 1-1 draw against Union Berlin before beating Borussia Mönchengladbach 4-0.
This is also an important game for Frankfurt, as they are currently six points behind Leverkusen in sixth place.
While it is a difficult fixture, Die Adler will go into this game knowing they have beaten Bayern more times (4) than any other club since the 2019/2020 season. They have also scored more goals against Bayern than any other club in the same period.
However, on the flip side, Frankfurt have also not won away from home since November. But expect them to give Bayern some issues, which is why we are backing over 2.5 goals.
