Weekend Betting Preview: Housebets Picks of the Week

February 26, 2026

Check out Housebets' predictions for some of the biggest games in Europe’s top leagues this weekend.

In the words of one of the greatest James Bonds of all time, ladies and gentlemen, the weekend!!!

Yes, the weekend is here, which is always a beautiful feeling, because it means our picks of the week are also back.

Last weekend, we were three from five, but we are aiming for a perfect score this week. There are some big games to watch this weekend, including the big London derby between Arsenal and Chelsea.

In Italy, there is a big top-four clash as Roma host Juventus on Sunday night, while in France, Olympique Marseille and Olympique Lyon will slug it out.

You can place your bets on all these games and all other matches at Housebets. To place your bets, log in to your account or create one if you don't already have one, deposit your preferred cryptocurrency, and go to the sports section to bet on these games and our picks.

With that said, let us get down to our picks for this week.

Ligue 1: Monaco vs Angers

Our Pick: Monaco win

Monaco will look to keep up their hopes of playing in the Champions League next season when they host Angers on Saturday.

Les Monégasques were knocked out of this season’s Champions League on Wednesday as they suffered a 5-4 aggregate defeat at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain.

However, they cannot dwell on that defeat for too long, as they need to win against Angers to stay in contention for Champions League qualification next season.

Sébastien Pocognoli’s men are currently 11 points behind Lyon in third place, but a win against Angers will keep their slim hopes alive.

The Principality club have had quite a week, beating RC Lens 3-2 last week and earning a 2-2 draw against PSG on Wednesday.

While these are impressive results, their inconsistency is the reason why they are far off Lyon in the Champions League qualification race.

Nonetheless, they will be eager to keep up their recent performance when they take on Angers, who are coming off back-to-back defeats.

Alexandre Dujeux’s men lost at home to Lille last weekend, having lost to Toulouse two weeks ago. Away from home, Angers have also failed to score in three of their last four matches and have lost four of their previous five games at the Principality.

Although they did win on their last visit, it is hard to see history repeat itself, which is why we are backing the home side for the three points.

Monaco are priced at 1.48 to win this clash, with Angers priced at 6.20 to get a second successive away win at the Principality.

Premier League: Leeds vs Man City

Our pick: Man City win

Leeds could take further steps towards securing their Premier League safety with a win over title-chasing Manchester City.

Daniel Farke’s men know a win will potentially put them two wins away from securing their league status, at least for another season.

The truth is, they have no reason to fear, as they have been in good form recently. The Peacocks picked up an impressive point at Aston Villa last week, but it could have even been more if not for Tammy Abraham’s late equaliser.

Before last weekend’s draw at Villa, Leeds had not lost in three games, securing an impressive 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge during this time.

They have picked up five points from their last three Premier League games and are unbeaten so far this month.

This should give the home side confidence going into their clash against City. However, the problem is that they face a City side in the thick of the title race.

City know that a win here could swing the momentum in their favour, considering the leaders, Arsenal, play Chelsea on Sunday.

Pep Guardiola’s men have been able to capitalise on Arsenal’s failure in recent weeks to regain control of their destiny. The Cityzens have won their last three league games and are unbeaten in their last six in all competitions (W5).

They also have a pretty good record against Leeds, having won their last five games against them.

While Leeds will be looking to end this poor run, City remain the favourite, which is why we are backing them at 1.59 to get the win.

Bundesliga: Bayer Leverkusen vs Mainz

Our Pick: Leverkusen to win

Bayer Leverkusen suffered a huge blow in their race to qualify for the Champions League after losing to Union Berlin last weekend.

However, the good news for them is that the damage is still salvageable, as they are only four points behind Stuttgart, who have played a game more.

But while they still have hope, Kasper Hjulmand’s men cannot afford to drop more points, so they need to return to winning ways this weekend when they host Mainz.

The Factory Eleven have only won two of their last five games in all competitions and come into this game on the back of a goalless draw against Olympiacos, even though it did not cost them a spot in the UCL round of 16.

Leverkusen have a good home record recently, winning three of their last four league matches at home. They have also lost just one of their last seven meetings against Mainz (W5, L1).

Mainz, meanwhile, played a 1-1 draw against Hamburg last time out and were thrashed 4-0 by Borussia Dortmund before then.

Urs Fischer’s men sit in 13th place, but two points above the relegation zone, and have lost six of their last nine league away games.

But despite their poor form, Mainz are a difficult side to beat. Nonetheless, we expect Leverkusen to get the job done, which is why we are backing them at 1.70 to win.

Serie A: Inter Milan vs Genoa

Our Pick: Inter Win

Inter had a terrible week after they were knocked out of the Champions League by Bodo/Glimt on Tuesday.

The defeat was a new low for both Inter and Italian football. However, the Nerazzurri cannot dwell on the loss for too long, as they have one objective now, which is to win the league.

Christian Chivu’s men are almost guaranteed to win the title, as they sit ten points clear of AC Milan.

Still, Inter will need to make up for their exit in the Champions League by delivering better displays for the rest of the season, starting with the game against Genoa this weekend.

With their city rivals not playing until Sunday, Inter can go 13 points clear at the top with a win at the San Siro.

This should be no problem for Chivu’s men, as they have won 13 of their last 14 league games, including their last seven. They are also unbeaten in their last 13 games against Genoa.

Genoa won 3-0 last time out against Torino to move three points clear of the relegation zone but were winless in their last three before then (D1, L2).

The Red and Blues have also been pretty decent away from home recently, losing just two of their last eight (D4, W2).

However, despite that, it is hard to see anything other than Inter winning, which is priced at 1.31.

LaLiga: Barcelona vs Villarreal

Our pick: Barcelona win or over 2.5 goals

Barcelona regained control of the LaLiga title race last week after beating Levante following Real Madrid’s loss to Osasuna.

The Catalan giants can now go four points temporarily clear ahead of Madrid’s clash against Getafe on Monday night.

Flick’s men wobbled recently, losing to Girona 2-1 in the league after being thrashed 4-0 by Atletico Madrid in the Copa Del Rey.

Yet, Barca hold their destiny, at least in the league. The Blaugrana host Villarreal on Saturday ahead of a crucial period, which will see them take on Atletico in the second leg of their Copa Del Rey clash before facing Athletic Bilbao in San Mames.

Although Barca hold the edge in this clash, Villarreal have won on their last two visits to the Catalan giants.

The Yellow Submarines are flying high this season, although they had a disappointing Champions League campaign.

Marcelino’s men are third in the league, three points ahead of Atletico, and come into the game on the back of a 2-1 win over Valencia.

But despite that high-flying performance in the league and their recent form at Barcelona’s home, we still fancy Barca to win this one.

However, over 2.5 goals at 1.26 is also another option to go for.
